The Wildlife Center is conveniently located between Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Taos, and approximately two miles south of Española in northern Santa Fe county.

Public Tour Hours:
Wednesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Animal Intake Hours:
Daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We offer self-guided public tours during our public hours.
Scheduled guided tours, educational programs and field trips are available by arrangement.

Spring Open House!

Here's our flyer for 2008.

Each Spring The Center opens the entire facility to the public. Please come visit us for this unique and fun filled event. This is the one time every year that you are be able to see the ICU and rehab areas.

Our next open house will be held in early May, 2009

There is no charge for this event. Refreshments will be available.

Special events will include:

  • Tours of the intensive care unit (ICU)
  • Tours of the rehabilitation areas
  • Special activities and games for children
  • Raptors, snakes, and other animals will be brought out by volunteers so you can get a close-up look and talk with knowledgeable handlers
